Hi, I am fairly new to the CRM function of HubSpot, used salesforce for 20 years. We have a partner that has referred us to a few different accounts (going forward we will have multiple partners that will do the same). I want to be able to see the deals they referred us to in their account record, but also see the deal in the referree record. This was fairly easy to do in Salesforce. I could click on our partners record, see all the accunts they referred us to and then go to an account record and see all the partners that work with that account. I hope this makes sense, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Sure, in HubSpot, you can achieve this by utilizing the “Associations” feature. You can associate deals with both the partner’s record and the referred account’s record. This allows you to easily navigate between the partner’s record and the referred account’s record to see all associated deals. Let me know if you need further assistance!
Hi Mj,
They are several ways for you to do that here are a few guidelines with I hope would help :
Basic way : Add 2 companies to your deals and use assocation labels, click on the top right for the company card where it says “plus” to add Association label. This way you can label this company as “Partner”. When you decide to Open this company profile you will be able to see all deal associated.
More advanced way : You can create a Deal within a Deal, this second deal would between yourself and the partner. You can also label this assocation. This will allow you to re-use the line items and for exemple to create a product : Commission. This would allow you to report on the payout to each partners compare to the first option.
The navigation and visualization to identify which deals is with which company and which partner is slightly more complicated that way but more scalable. You will need to create a table report probably.
Hope this helps,
Regards,

Hi @MJMacpherson,
In short: for easy filtering in HubSpot we’d suggest to use custom properties.
We actually made a blogpost (https://www.introw.io/resource-hub/the-3-ways-to-manage-your-b2b-partners-in-hubspot-and-attribute-r…) on the 3 ways how you can manage your B2B partners in HubSpot.
There are 3 options:
Let me know if that’s usefull. ![]()
