This is a new issue I’ve run into recently.

When exporting my Deal view, one of the columns shown in “Associated Company”, which before now always showed the company name in the exported data.

Now instead of showing the company name, the exported data lists only the Associated Company ID# is shown, meaning I have to go back and manually add the information which defeats the purpose of exporting it out of Hubspot to begin with.

Does anyone know how to change this back?

Hello! I want ot make sure I’m understanding you correctly. You’re exporting deal information from the deal object screen (where you see all deals and any column of other information) - but your associated company record is showing the company ID# and not the Company name? Mine is still working like you’d expect, which is why I’m questioning if I’m understanding where exactly you’re exporting from. Do you mind verifying and/or showing a screenshot?

You have it right. The column I am using shows the primary company associated with the deal, and displayed the company name as normal.

However, once this data is exported, what gets shown is:

![NKronish_2-1745423853680.png](https://d2qpr2jzcazej7.cloudfront.net/original/3X/3/c/3cb8697181af9a943764c544f1e3400facbabaf8.png)

Previously this column showed the company name, I have not edited my deal view at all since I last exported the data.

</div>

I’m experiencing the same issue with Contact Name showing as Contact ID when exported! I tried exporting all properties, as suggested in this thread, but it still didn’t pull the contact name. ☹

</div>

I may have figured it out!

When I select the “Include associated record name” option before exporting - as shown below - the Contact Name rather than the Contact ID appears within the export. I’m not sure why this is no longer automatically selected, but oh well. 😂

Hope this helps others who have struggled with this issue!

So the export will actually provide that column as well, however they are not the same column. The column header will still say "

| Associated Company (Primary) |
| --- |

"
I’m curious if this has something do with permissions or did you view all columns on the export? One thing to try when you export go to Customize and click “All Properties and all associations on the records” to just get all the columns and see if you’re getting the one “Associated Company (Primary)” - not with “ID” attached. Not seeing your system directly - just running through what I would try. Hope this helps!

Confirming what @NKronish is saying. In the past, this columns/columns like this exported the name of associated records, not the ID. This is a huge deal for our reps and means we would need to start copying even more data over to the associated records instead of leaving those names in the original associated record itself, where it should be.

I’m experiencing the same thing. Can HubSpot please correct this ASAP? This is horrible. The Deal exports aren’t pulling in the associated field details other than the IDs.

@NKronish , @stephenjm , @SFowler9 -
Alejandra D. with HubSpot Support and Joshua Oaks at the Sprocketeer slack channel cracked it! There is a new beta and we now need to opt in to including the associated object names. Screenshot (credit: Alejandra) is below.

Thanks Chel! That is super helpful. I completely overlooked this checkbox. I’m now getting the exports I’m looking for.

This is interesting! Thanks for sharing, I didn’t have that option - I’m guessing because we weren’t in the beta!
Not sure I _like_ this feature though??

Thank you for the details!

This saves me from having to go back to manually doing multiple reports each month.

I wonder what the reason for this change could be, the internal Hubspot ID# is probably ignored by most users and when exporting data no one will know a company by that ID# without doing extra work.
