Hello HubSpot Community, I hope you’re all doing well!
I’m currently working in a systems stack where includes HubSpot and Salesforce, leveraging the integration between these two systems. At the start of the project, we opted to sync Salesforce Contacts and Leads with HubSpot Contacts. However, we’ve been facing ongoing challenges with this setup:
- Due to the large size of our database of Contacts and Leads, maintaining a scalable process for real-time field updates between Leads and Contacts in Salesforce has become impractical.
- When a record stops syncing as a Contact and begins syncing as a Lead (or vice versa), critical information is lost in the process.
To address these issues, we’re considering a change in architecture to sync HubSpot Contacts only with Salesforce Contacts.
Before proceeding, I’d love to gather insights from this community:
- Risks: What are the potential risks of implementing this architecture change? Are there any specific challenges we should anticipate?
- Best Practices: Are there any recommendations or best practices for implementing this change smoothly?
- Experience Sharing: Has anyone here made this transition in a live environment? If so, what were the lessons learned?
Thank you so much for your help and advice! Looking forward to hearing your insights and experiences.
Best regards,
Edu
