Tracking URL builder needs to have internal naming option

Problem

When creating tracking URLs in a campaign, the table only shows the destination URL.

We often have multiple assets with tracking URLs that all point to the same destination (e.g., /pricing) but with different UTM parameters (medium/content, etc.). In the campaign view, this appears as the same destination URL repeated multiple times, and it’s not clear which tracking URL corresponds to which asset, placement, or use case without clicking into each link and inspecting the UTM details.

This makes it slow and error-prone to:

  • Verify that all assets are using the correct tracking URLs
  • Troubleshoot or compare performance for specific assets within the same campaign

Proposed solution

When creating a tracking URL within a campaign, add an “Internal name” field that is only visible inside HubSpot.

  • This internal name would be shown as a separate column in the campaign’s tracking URL table.
  • Ideally, the table would have at least two columns:
    • Internal name (primary, human-readable label)
    • Destination URL (so we can still easily copy the URL)

This would let us clearly distinguish tracking URLs across assets and use cases, even when they all point to the same page.

Example

In one of our campaigns, we have multiple links for different assets and placements that all drive to /pricing, each with different UTM properties. In the current view, /pricing appears multiple times, but there’s no quick way to tell which row is tied to which asset/use case.

Why this matters: Distinguishable internal names would reduce manual URL checks, lower the risk of using the wrong link, and make campaign reporting and QA much faster and more reliable.

I can see how this could save a lot of time and frustration.
