tracking pictures in CRM

@MFrankJohnson Hi Frank,

Wondering if you can shed some light one this - someone, possibly me, added a picture to the crm and pinned it. I come across it randomly and of course, did not note who it was for.

Is there a way to filter (sort) for images? This is in the CRM only.

Is there a way to find out who added it and when?

Thanks.

Chris

Since the HubSpot CRM documents tool only supports .pdf, .pptx, .csv, .docx, and .xlsx file types you must be talking about CRM files stored as …

https://cdn2.hubspot.net/hubfs/<HUBID>/<uploaded_filename>

Image files like these are typically added to the CRM using ‘insert image’ inside of HubSpot objects.

Files uploaded in this fashion may be found using the HubSpot File Manager -- i.e., Marketing->Files and Templates->Files, or …

HubSpot File Manager

While HubSpot File Manager will show the upload date/time, it does not show file ownership.

@MFrankJohnson Thanks Frank. How do I get to the file manager?

Hey Chris, just use the code from that last post and replace HUBID with your portal ID.

Just got to thinking. You may need to be a Super Admin to access that @gelflex-cc.

@MFrankJohnson Thanks Frank. Very interesting that the image is not there. I don’t recall which record it is on BUT know to make note when I see it again.

Weird. Should be there if it was uploaded on a contact record in the CRM. You can also do a search by partial filename.

Lot’s of important files there (e.g., company logo, email files, etc), so … use caution.

Good luck finding it.

Ok, so you found it. Problem solved?

There may be differences, but we haven’t noticed any. Even images uploaded on COMPANY records will appear in the FIle Manager.

@MFrankJohnson I have not found the file yet. I am up to looking at every company…

@MFrankJohnson let’s revisit when I can find the picture. This way we have info to search for.

Thanks.

@MFrankJohnson I was able to see it just not the picture.

There are more files below - avatars, our logo, one picture I did save. The questionable one is a picture of an office.

@MFrankJohnson Frank is there a difference between files for a contact and a company? I believe the picture I am looking for may be on company record.
