Tracking Organic Traffic When Visitors Don't Accept Cookies in HubSpot

I’m facing a tracking issue with HubSpot analytics related to organic traffic and cookie consent. When website visitors do not accept cookies, their traffic often gets recorded as “direct” traffic, even if it’s organic in origin. I’m looking for guidance on how to address this tracking problem effectively.

Hey @BMargi source tracking requires information to be sent from the browser to an analytics system (HubSpot, GA, Hotjar etc). This happens through browser cookies. So in order to send information on the source a cookie would be required. I definitely wouldn’t advise pushing specific cookies on users who don’t accept cookies, however if it is a large issue you might want to check laws for your services/in your area. Some areas allow for implied consent cookie policies, IE. “By using this site you agree to cookies”
