Hello,

i am working on a marketing department request, we are using the following scenario:

1) The client buy something;
2) Our main BE engine sends an email through Amazon SES;
3) The email sent through Amazon SES is created as engagement in our Hubspot CRM.

I did this with Zapier (i can use lambda or Bcc too), in a pretty easy way, the problem is that i can’t really find a way to manage email events (opens and clicks) because sems like there is not a way to generate tracking code without browser extension or without sending the email directly from Hubspot. Am i loose something? Is there any way to implement the tracking on Hubspot in my case?
Thank you for your time.

You are correct, opens and clicks are a marketing function and unless you are using the Hubspot marketing emails this will not be recorded. If your links are being tracked, or if they are going to a specific page you can group people together who click a particular link or short link code.

There is an email events API, but that only reads data to my knowledge and doesn’t allow you to write that data ( [https://legacydocs.hubspot.com/docs/methods/email/email\_events\_overview](https://legacydocs.hubspot.com/docs/methods/email/email_events_overview) ).

I’ve found the API used by extension but i guess it is internal, so there is no way to do it? As far as you know, it is possibile to send email by calling Hubspot API with attachs?

Sending an email via the API is possible, the attachment is a sticky part. Could you use the API to send and include a dynamic link to your attachment as opposed to attaching it phsyically to the email.
