Tracking Code For External Email System

Hi Everyone,

I’m relatively new here and still have a few things to figure out, but one that has been puzzling me that I can’t seem to find an answer to is below:

We have an outside agency doing contract work with us, they have their own systems and tools that they use, but I would like to have a “token” or something embedded in their emails (sent from their system) so that we can track who visits our site from their emails. Is there any way to do this successfully? If it can be done, will we get passed any information from their campaign (for example - Opens)?

Any insight, recommendation, or guidance is greatly appreciated!

So, you’re using HubSpot, but have an agency using other tools for marketing?

What are you using to track analytics? You won’t be able to get open/click rates from their tools, but you can get traffic data by making sure the links in the emails they send include UTM codes for the campaigns. I use this tool to create them: https://ga-dev-tools.web.app/campaign-url-builder/
