Tracking Close Date Change Reasons

Hi!

Today when a rep pushes a deal, we’re able to track that using the out-of-the-box Hubspot Sales Analytics reporting (yay!). But if I want to see why a deals are pushed, I’m not able to capture that information.

Conditional logic is a great way to solve for this, but it currently doesn’t support date properties. I’d like to be able to create conditional logic that says “When close date field is changed, require the (custom drop down property on the deal) “Close Date Change Reason” property to be filled out.”

I don’t want to create an event based workflow that spits a task out to remind the rep to fill out the property, I want it to be filled out when the change action is being made.

We would also appreicate that conditional logic! Our sales process can be a bit lengthy at times so initial set dates can change and we’d love to track why (NDA taking longer than expected, Still negotiating budget, etc.) so we can report to the board about why deals are pushed out without having to bug our sales reps every time.

Would love to see suche feature as well or learn a workaround if there is any.

Hi,
Thank you all for taking the time to submit, vote and comment on this Idea. My name is Rachel, and I’m the PM for Properties.
I’m happy to announce that date/datetime support in conditional property logic is now in Private Beta. You can opt in here: HubSpot Login and Sign in
