I was having trouble with the Gmail integration for a while, meaning some emails have not been tracked.
I just have 1 questions around this:
How do I add a previously sent email so that it is recorded in HubSpot and that moving forward it will start to be tracked (not just adding the email copy as a note), is this possible?
The easiest way to handle occasional emails that you want in the HubSpt CRM is to Forward the emails to a special HubSpot Forward Address (like your HubSpot BCC Address).
When you forward the email HubSpot checks to see if that Contact is in the CRM, if the aren’t then it adds a new Contact. The email will then be logged against the Contact.
To find your HubSpot Forwarding address got to:
Settings (cog top right) > Sales (left menu) > Log Emails in CRM (submenu)
There you’ll see your uique BCC address and Forwarding address.
Because I used Gmail before, everything logged regardless, of what device I sent it from. Now with Outlook, it is different. I went back on my phone and sent several tests. One I forwarded into the CRM is for Lauren at HubSpot. Since HubSpot is already a company in my CRM, I did not receive a notification. For others, I did receive a notification that a contact was associated with a company (these notifications are usually sporadic at best anyway).
Wish there was a way to mass forward to double check.
I forwarded an email where a part was in a thread(I hate threads) and it did not log on its own.
@Mike_Eastwood Thank you, Mike. I have reached out to them as I have no less than 7 emails on my phone. Not all are connected to HubSpot and I can not have mixed emails inside of HubSpot.
