Tools of the Trade

ANyone have any neat or little-known websites that help you get the social media marketing done? Here’s a couple I love using.

tinypng.com is a site that just compresses a batch of files really fast. It’s perfect when an event photographer or someone else besides you sends you a folder full of pics and you don’t want to bother with opening Photoshop before looking at them. There’s another called CompressJPEG.com I think for those.

Also, we love Hubspot for our social scheduling, but we use Buffer Story Reminders for our Instagram stories posting.
Just curious what other random sites people have found for specific uses.

Hi @drewspotshubs,

Thanks for reaching out to the Inbound Study Group!

I wanted to invite our study group members to share their thoughts.

Hi @Jnix284, @Mohussain23, @sskiruthiga, @Zaina - Do you use social media tools in your day-to-day? Do you have any insight you could share with @drewspotshubs? Thank you!

Best,

Kristen

Thanks for the tag @kvlschaefer , happy to jump in with suggestions @drewspotshubs, great idea!

I also use tinypng daily, some of the tools I use are chrome extensions that make quick work and others are apps:

shottr (mac only) - screenshots with option to blur content very easily for quick social images

awesome screenshot (chrome extension) - in browser screenshots with lots of editing options and screen recording for more polished social images

glimpse (google trends website and chrome extension) - for trending keywords to help generate content ideas

Grammarly (app and chrome extension) - bc spelling and grammar are important for any content publishing…

RiteTag (chrome extension) - find the right hashtags

ColorZilla (chrome extension) - create a color palette from any webpage
