Hello! My agency is currently thinking about switching from Advantage to Monday.com or Productive.io. I’ve used Monday in the past but I’m not familiar with Productive.io. I know that HubSpot has an integration with Monday but I’m reading conflicting information on how the integration works. In the App Marketplace, it looks like data only pushes from HubSpot to Monday, but I’m reading articles that mention the sync being bidirectional. I think we’d mostly use the sync for tasks and creating projects in Monday after a deal is closed/won. I’d love to hear your thoughts if you use it!
Bonus points if you use Productive.io and have it integrated!
Hi @Sarah_g1! Welcome to the Community-- happy to have you here ![]()
You are correct that HubSpot does have an integration with Monday.com! Looking at the integration setup guide, it does seem only to imply a one-directional sync from HubSpot to Monday. That said, I know Monday does have some bidirectional syncs, but only for specific integrations. Since the integration is built by Monday, they may be the best resource to verify if it is bidirectional in any capacity.
I also want to invite @StjepanGrcic to this thread-- I saw you commented on some other threads involving Monday, have you had any experience you can share?
Hey @louischausse, @HFisher7, @Jonas_De_Mets do y’all have any experience with Productive.io or Monday that you can share? Thanks!
Best,
Kennedy
Hi @Sarah_g1
It’s been a few months, but let me elaborate on the limitations of Monday.com <> HubSpot built-in sync.
1. It is a one-way sync. From Hubspot to monday.com
2. It synchronizes custom fields from Hubspot to monday.com on initial sync, however, it doesn’t sync updated values of custom fields on subsequent syncs.
If those limitations won’t cause you trouble, the integration should work well for you. Otherwise, there are other 3-rd party solutions, like resynced.io (which we’ve launched recently). Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to sync HubSpot with monday.com: How to synchronize HubSpot with monday.com | resynced.io
The native HubSpot - Monday integration is mostly one-way, so you’ll hit limits if you want true bidirectional sync. The same goes for Productive.io. If you need all three systems talking to each other, that’s usually solved via third-party tools. For example, Skyvia is a HubSpot tech partner (listed on their marketplace) and supports integrations with HubSpot, Monday, and Productive.io, so you can set up mappings and automate syncs without heavy manual work.
