Hi HubSpot Community 👋

I recently came across a workflow scenario where a new date needed to be calculated automatically from an existing CRM date.

For example:

**Contract start date → +12 months → Renewal date**

The same requirement can appear with follow-up dates, trial expiration, SLA deadlines, subscription renewals, or onboarding schedules.

I’m interested in how other HubSpot users are solving this today.

Are HubSpot’s native workflow actions enough for your date logic, or have you needed custom code or another solution for certain scenarios?

For these use cases, we created **Date Manager by OpsAgent**. It provides a workflow action for adding or subtracting days, weeks, months, or years from a date.

👉 **Date Manager by OpsAgent:**

> Perform advanced date and time calculations directly in HubSpot workflows. Add or subtract days, weeks, months, or years from any date property. Calculate du...

It’s completely free to use, and we’re interested in testing it against more real-world HubSpot workflow scenarios.

**What date calculation have you needed in HubSpot that was difficult to implement?**

Would love to hear some real examples. 🙌

Hey @dinesh-pinetco 👋

Thanks for sharing this with the Community! 😊

HubSpot can handle [many date calculations](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/properties/create-calculation-properties) natively. For example, you can use the [Format data](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/workflows/format-your-data-with-workflows) workflow action to add 12 months to a Contract start date and save the result as a Renewal date.

For more advanced scenarios, HubSpot also supports date formulas like `plus_time(...)` in workflows and `add_time(...)` in calculation properties. These dates can then be used to trigger reminders, delays, or other workflow actions.

Depending on your subscription and requirements, [custom code](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/workflows/custom-formula-functions) or third-party apps may still be helpful for more complex calculations, such as business days or holiday handling.

Date Manager looks like an interesting option to explore! **I’m curious, have you come across specific scenarios where HubSpot’s native date calculations weren’t enough?**

Would love to hear more about the use cases you’ve encountered! 😊

Thanks,
Bérangère
