The Outlook e-mail plugg-in shows an association when this one is not existing!

Hello,

I am using Outlook classic and the Hubspot Outlook Sales extension.
I haver e-mails that shows in Outlook associated to contacts and to Deals, but when checking in Hubspot the e-mails are not showing up in the Deals.
I can’t unselect the association in Outlook Sales Extension , so I can’t even try to re-create the association.
Thank you for your help
Nicolas

Hi @Nicdm

Can you please include at least two screenshots:

  • What you are seeing in Outlook
  • What you are (not) seeing in HubSpot

Thanks

Frank

Hi @Nicdm ,
Recent updates to Outlook and the HubSpot Sales add-in have led to a few quirks, especially with the classic Outlook version. Several users have reported that deal associations sometimes don’t show up properly or that the plugin fails to log emails as expected.

A few things to double-check:

  1. Is the contact associated with the deal in HubSpot?
If not, the email won’t get logged to the deal, even if the Outlook add-in suggests it will.
  2. Update your log & track settings:
Go to Settings > Objects > Activities > Log and Track Settings in HubSpot. Make sure “Automatically associate emails with deals” is turned on.

  1. Review community discussions:
You can find more user experiences and workarounds here:

If none of that resolves it, I’d recommend reaching out to HubSpot Support. They can dig into potential sync errors or bugs related to specific contacts or associations.

Hope this helps!
