Hello HubSpot Community,
Recently, our company made a transition from Gmail to Outlook. It was not ideal, but for various reasons, we had to do it.
Anyway, since the transition, we have had various problems with the HubSpot extension. Just to mention, we sometimes can have multiple people on the same email for covering or when assistants are helping the account managers.
- The HubSpot plugin simply does not show up on shared or delegated emails. It only shows up for the main email. In Gmail, that was not an issue. The extension was everywhere.
- In Gmail, you could hover over emails that are copied and the extension would give you their information that exists in HubSpot. You can create deals, edit properties from there. With the extension in Outlook, that is not possible. It shows only the information from the sender.
- Some information was showing up immediately in Gmail. With Outlook it takes a couple of additional clicks. I know it sounds like nitpicking but when you are going through hundreds of emails a day, it is a bother.
- In Outlook, the extension can also disappear for a time and just randomly show up again.
- When adding snippets or templates in Outlook, you always have to search for the one you need. In Gmail, it would show you the three most recently used ones, which was great when doing multiple follow-ups that have the same topic. It was more efficient.
- When turning on the plugin (which you have to do every time, unfortunately), the cursor randomly moves to the bottom of the email below the signature. Also, adding snippets and templates are added below the signature for some reason.
I know it might sound like nitpicking overall, but these are some serious issues that multiple people from the Sales team have reported to me. It causes various inefficiencies that were simply not there when using Gmail.
Does anybody have any suggestions for workarounds or possible fixes for any of this?
Thank you so much!
