The calendar requires permissions to install Google Meet

As an administrator, I added Google Meet, but other users can’t use it because it’s not installed for them. In my view, the integration with Google Meet should work the same way as Google Calendar, but it doesn’t.

1. When creating an event, users can’t select Google Meet.

2. If they click the ‘Connect App’ link, Google Meet isn’t listed.

3. When users go to the Marketplace and find Google Meet, they are prompted to request installation permissions from the administrator.

4. The administrator receives an email asking to grant permissions to the user via the path: Admin - App Marketplace Access, which doesn’t exist in the system. Alright, I understand that I need to go to Users → Account → Settings Access → App Marketplace Access.

5. The problem is, I don’t want to give all users the right to install applications!

6. Moreover, granting a user permissions through App Marketplace Access does not take effect until the user is given super admin rights.

Hi @monolithed

if you want the users to be able to install apps (like Meet or any other integration they 'll need)

you need to give them these permissions

Once you grant this, they should be able to install it (without being SuperAdmins).

Hope this helps

Switching that option didn’t help until I gave superuser rights. Either way, it doesn’t solve the problem because I don’t want to give users unrestricted access to install any apps or spend time on system administration. I don’t understand why it’s not possible to create a list of trusted apps that don’t require installation permissions.

Hey,
Currently in the same issue, having those perms on wont give let you install the application unless you are super Admin. Please help out.

I try to connect google Meet , every thing is good , third authent ect .. until the end

where i’m redirect to a page where there are : Google Meet app is not installed

**View marketplace listingGo to connected apps

I was able to install calendar , drive , only google do that**

Hi @Chrys and welcome, it’s a pleasure to have you here!

Thanks for reaching out to the HubSpot Community!

To get Google Meet working, each user needs to install and connect it individually, and you’ll want to make sure you have App Marketplace permissions or Super Admin access, as @Lucila-Andimol mentioned.

If you’re seeing a message saying “Google Meet app is not installed” at the end, it likely means the installation didn’t quite finish on HubSpot’s side.

Could you please try in an incognito window to install and see what happens? Also can you confirm that you have the right permissions?

Also sharing some resources here for reference:

I’d love to check with our Top Experts: Hi @Josh, @Lucila-Andimol and @danmoyle do you have suggestions to help @Chrys, please?

Thanks so much and have a lovely day!

@Berangere I’d have offered the same resources for @Chrys as you did. Without seeing exactly what they’re seeing, through a screen recording or a live chat, I’m not sure what’s not working. I’d suggest working through troubleshooting steps and then maybe checking with Support. In my experience, following the prompts works pretty seamlessly.
