Is anyone in the Hubspot product team reading (and understanding!) this thread?
Sales reps are busy folks and they will every now and then make mistakes and set a deal to the wrong deal stage, which will result in major problems in reporting, as described by many Hubspot customers above.
This really needs to be added! Things are better now with the pipeline restrictions but to clean up legacy deals for accurate reporting, this is really really needed!!

Without the capacity to delete a deal activity, it’s simply impossible to have a satisfying data on with which run analysis, especially when you manage a team of sales representatives… mistakes happen all days long, and dropping a deal in the wrong column of a pipe happens all the time, I sincerely think about stopping the use of the pipe because I finally need to monitor all the data manually… what’s the point of using Hubspot if I am not allowed to make mistake?

+1 for this. Yet another piece of super fundamental functionality that’s lacking in Hubspot. Lock down the permissions to super admin if needed, but you can’t have a simple mis-click completely screwing up all your pipeline analytics.
