Hello,
I’m new to Hubspot and am trying to figure out what is happening with our contact ownership.
In our company, we have sales territories where the people that run those territories need to be the contact owner, and should not see the contacts in anyone elses territory. We addressed this by creating a team for each territory and assigning the respective contacts in the territory to that hubspot team.
Seemingly randomly - we are having mass amounts of contacts changing contact owner.
I dug a little deeper, and I see that the contact was changed by a setting that said “Assign Company Owner to Contact by Default” Setting.
Is this possibly what is overriding my Contact Owner settings? Can anyone tell me if this can be changed? i need to reconfigure about 10,000 contacts because of this. Thanks!
