Team view of customize association table

I created a team called Test Team, and add myself as a member. In Deals I went to Record Customization → Customize association tables and then created a team view for Test Teams with custom properties. I made sure that a deal was associated with company Test with the custom properties filled in. When I went to the Test company I only saw the default Deals association table. Am I dong something wrong? How can I view how the Test Team would see that section?

Hey @JCrowNM ,

I want to ensure you’re doing all like I did below after adding you as a user to your Test group (I have added myself as a User of the Sales Group)

1. Went to Settings - Objects - Deals - Record Customization - Customize association tables

2. Add the properties you want to see like in the screenshot below

3. Then you can go to any of the Objects excluding Deals, for example - any Company Record, then you can see the bellow view of columns that were previously set up for Team: Sales:

Let me know if that helps or you still have the issue.

Regards,

Anton

Hi Anton,

Yup. That is what I did. But when I go to the company record I am still seeing the default view. I went in and double checked that I was a member of the team to which the view was assigned and everything checked out.

Thanks,

Jonathan

Also, if I make changes to the default view I see them.

Thanks,

Jonathan

I found out that I was a Primary member in another group and an extra member in the new group I created. Only primary group members are able to view the customized association tables assigned to that group. Otherwise it is set to whatever your primary group will see. I had to remove myself from both, re-add myself to the one I wanted to be primary first, then go back in and add myself to the secondary team. Then I was able to view the association table I wanted to see.
