In the task settings you can define default values for due date and reminders (e.g., a certain number of days or weeks after creation). However, it is not possible to define fully custom due date intervals as reusable presets, such as “in 2 months”.
Problem
Our follow-ups often need to happen at a fixed interval (for example, always 2 months after the first contact). Today, we have to manually pick the exact due date in the date picker every time or work with rough workarounds. This is time-consuming and error‑prone.
Proposed solution
- Extend the task settings with freely definable due date presets, such as:
- “in 2 months”
- “in 6 weeks”
- “in 90 days”, etc.
- These custom presets should appear as options in all due date dropdowns when creating tasks.
- Optionally: allow users or teams to choose one preset as their default (e.g., “follow-ups due in 2 months by default”).
Benefits
- Much faster creation of tasks with consistent due dates.
- Less manual date picking and fewer input mistakes.
- Better control over sales and follow-up cycles (e.g., standard 2‑month follow-ups).
Example use case
When creating a task, in the “Due date” field we simply select the option “in 2 months” from a predefined list instead of having to manually click the exact date in the calendar every single time.
