Leaving the default time as 08:00pm is not sufficient. On average, the peak time for morning sales calls is 10am. My whole team has agreed 10am would be a much more suitable “default” time.

We start 7am or earlier so would be much better if the default was 1am so we have a reminder in the emails when we start work

Not on this, but setting defaults for the task email really should be a feature. The fact that it defaults to SPAM users, rather than default to NOT spam users is a bit strange given the nature of the company is trying to limit spam. Additionally, we want to use a tool that is designed to get away from email. Now, of course, some people like an email reminder because they are stuck in there ways. But the reason to use a platform like hubspot is to get OUT of the old paradigm. However, the inability to override this defaul is baffling. At least give it the feature of remember the last setting. Then you don’t even need to desing a new UI.

Thanks!

Understand you cannot change the hardwired 8 am start time…how about the default # of days for follow up? We are set at 3 days and each and every time I try to setup a task, I have to pulldown the link, use a custom date. Too many steps to flow well for prospecting.

Can we change default follow up days?

Similar issue is over here as well.

Hubspot just doesn’t seem to think this is important enough.

It would be very helpful if default times for tasks were customizable. That extra mouse drag and click every time you set up a task really feels like a needless chore, increasing the amount of time it takes to do my work. Please implement a fix!

17.00 is the worst time for task setting, and creates more work for me when creating a task. 8.00 wasn’t as bad. Please change it back to 08.00 or give me the opportunity to customise it myself in my preferences!

Hubspot has changed default time to 5 pm now. For my salesteam, it is not very pleasent getting reminders when they are on their way home from work.

**Hubspot please, make the default time open for every customer to decide them selves, or change it back were it was.**

The 5pm default time is horrible. This should be a setting that can be customized. This has been driving me crazy, along with the task reminder email being a default.

**I liked it much better when I didn’t have to associate a time with a task.** If a user wants to add a time, that’s great, but otherwise **please do not require a default time, or any time when creating a task**. My daily tasks are usually not defined by times, and therefore this is adding a layer that is very inefficient. There are definitely occasions when a time is needed, but I prefer to be able to select a time when that is case. At the very least, please change the the default time back to 8:00 am when a new task is set. I’m actually very surprised by this recent change and would like to know who prefers this method and why? Maybe I’m missing something. Otherwise, please change this back ASAP if possible. Thanks!

Hello Team,

Please remove the default time for the tasks or allow us to customize. I also agree with John and most of my tasks don’t have a time to be done.
It’s really upseting to get the reminders to tasks so close to the end of my day or also it takes a lot of time to be changing each of the times for the tasks, specially when you have lots of leads to follow up.

Thank you.

I agree that having a default time is probably suboptimal for your wider user base. If a user wants to add a time to a particular task then so be it, however, to force a time upon a particular task by default seems a little odd. Obviously by removing the time you are actually triggering the reminder email for midnight anyway so it is understandable that a default may need to exist.

That said - our workflow is to set future tasks which generate emails (by way of a reminder) on an intended day that task is due for completion. If we have to have a time default for a task then it makes much more sense for this time to be in the morning of the particular day prior to people getting to work so they have their email reminders when they get to their desk. We were therefore happy with the 0800 hrs default.

To move that default to 1700 hrs seems very odd especially with no way to customize that default time. Our people now end up with a bunch of tasks coming through towards the end of their day which seems counter-intuitive.

^^^What John said. Please set it back to 8AM or remove a time as a whole. This would be an amazing feature if we could choose our own default time.
