Tagging People for LinkedIn Posts in HubSpot

I can tag people in HubSpot for LinkedIn posts if they follow our company page, etc. I start typing @ and their name and a drop-down menu appears with choices. Once I choose one it turns blue. Then when I hover over the name in blue it underlines it, but when I click on it nothing happens. I would like to be able to click it and go into LinkedIn to verify I have the right person. If the name is generic like Sarah Jones I just want to make sure I have the right Sarah Jones etc. Another idea would be to show their image in the drop-down list to help identify them. Right now I just see the LI avatar etc.

I am trying to tag people in our social posts. However, their names are “greyed out.”

  • Their profile is public.
  • They are following the company’s LinkedIn page.

Suggestions? Thank you!

+1 very much need a way to distinguish between contacts

+1 for this. Would love to be able to tag people and companies in LinkedIn posts.

+1 It would be great for this to be added because otherwise the ability to tag seems somewhat redundant (who would want to use it if they’re not sure who they’re tagging?)

I completely agree. We do not use the social tab in Hubspot for this reason. 99% of our posts, we tag an individual and it does not let us do it through hubspot so we manually do it on LinkedIn and are looking at/paying for other platforms that allow this,

Another big vote for this one. I cannot even tag myself in LinkedIn on HubSpot, so either I edit in LInkedIn once it is posted, or just post in LinkedIn directly.

Yes, this would be great!

+1 on this, please! It seems silly to have so many barriers to tagging personal accounts in post copy for LinkedIn, when tagging others aids in post performance. Not to mention, if we schedule in HubSpot and have to edit the post on LinkedIn to include a personal account tag, LinkedIn dings users for editing the post too quickly after publishing.
