Tagging contacts within a company

We sell our services at the company level vs. to individuals. Within each company, we have many contacts. I am trying to figure out the best way to identify types of contacts for each company - for example, primary contact, invoice contact, alternate contact, etc. Some of our relationships have 20 or more contacts.

I am hoping there is a better way than properties. I need these flags to be easily identifiable. In my perfect world, the contacts with these tags would be the first names that show up in the contact list for a company, but I don’t want to be greedy! :slightly_smiling_face:

Appreciate any advice!

Hi, @KRush ,

the best way to do this would have been with association labels. However, it seems that you’re the starter version, so that’s not possible. Therefore, we’re back to properties. :slightly_smiling_face:

I’d suggest you create a single property that has a dropdown for each of your contact types. Then you can create lists for each of the contact types and you can have them all grouped in the same place.

Unfortunately, for waht you want in the ideal world, there are multiple solutions with associations and cards, however, they are not available for starter packages.

Let’s say you manage to do it in the current setup though, do you mind me asking what is the need for this functionality? Purely, so you can easily see the most relevant contacts at the top, or for segmentation purposes, or something else entirely?

Cheers,

Eli
