I’ve decided I am going to use webhooks and the API to keep contacts synced between my application and Hub Spot in real-time.

What approach do you recommend when someone has a number of contacts in Hub Spot already and I need to get them into my application?

My initial though would be to get a list of contacts, and enumerate through them and put them in my system.
Another thought is that the webhook has some startup capability that gets you to the current time?

Am I missing something, what is the best approach to do the inital sync?

Thank you in advance,

Marty

Hi @Mardo ,

If you want to have all contacts from HubSpot in your application (or even a selection based on specific properties), I would suggest building a CRON-based sync that syncs all contacts at night.
If you have your webhook app that syncs all changes but also has a CRON-based script that syncs each night (or each week), you are 100% sure that all contacts and data are available in your application.
You can use the CRON-based script as the initial sync as well.
