If you want to exclude contacts from enrollment, you would specify this within the enrollment criteria. Along with your other enrollment criteria, simply specify “AND List membership is none of”.
(Unless you further specify in the unenrollment criteria that contacts should be unenrolled if they don’t meet the enrollment criteria anymore, this will prevent contacts from entering when they’re on the list but contacts get to stay in the workflow should the join the list.)
If a contact is on a workflow suppression list, they:
- will not enroll
- will be removed immediately the moment they join the suppression list
