Subscribers being removed from one active list to another without actively unsubscribing

Hello,

Recently we’ve imported a list of marketing contacts for one product (C) into HS, marked its property as a business unit and created an active list with said filter.

However, we also use the same HS account for another product (V) with a different business unit code. I’ve noticed that contacts who were subscribed to C product also signed up to the V product in the following days and as a result, they got removed from the active list into the static list - only belonging to the newly subscribed product’s (V) active send list.
Is there a way to prevent the subscribers from being forcefully removed without actually opting out of the first product list? And why is this happening?

Hi @ACrnjak,

Could you please share a screenshot of your list criteria and more details about how exactly someone subscribes to product C and to product V?

Best regards

Hi Karsten,

For someone to subscribe to product C they can do this through a signup form on the homepage, the same is true for product V. They input their email address and subscribe to our newsletter. For product V, we also have a login form, where they can become a member. When testing the issue, I used the former, simply signed up to product V while the same email was already an active subscriber of product C. Once I did that, the email was switched out of active list for product C and added to active list for product V only. Below are the filters of both active lists for each product.

@ACrnjak in those lists, I’m not seeing any filters for the submission of the form, for a subscription type opt-in or a custom subscription checkbox. There are only filters for the region field (which can theoretically change upon each form submission), the ‘BusinessUnit’ property (which doesn’t seem to be the default “Business unit” HubSpot property and, hence, would also be overwritten with each form submission) and the list membership.

You would have to reference a form submission or ideally, even better, a subscription type filter: Set up email subscription types
