# Submitting forms after migrating to "Private Apps" from using API keys.

Hi there!

I’m looking into refactoring our integrations away from API keys and to use the “Private apps” style as per - [Developer platform - HubSpot docs](https://developers.hubspot.com/docs/api/migrate-an-api-key-integration-to-a-private-app)

Is it possible to get confirmation that this legacy API for submitting form responses ([https://legacydocs.hubspot.com/docs/methods/forms/submit\_form](https://legacydocs.hubspot.com/docs/methods/forms/submit_form)) will also accept the new authentication method?

As far as I can tell there isn’t a “v3” version of this endpoint.

Hi @NicRaw1 ,

The endpoint you shared does not require any authentication 🙂  
So you should be safe!

Ah that’s funny, thanks for the response. I was just reading code paths and we were sending auth paramater so assumed it was required 🤦‍♂️
