Sub-domain or main domain

Hi All

We are considering setting up our own email system on our broadband comparison site and would appreciate some advice.

Is it best to set it up on the main domain, or would it be better to use a subdomain like https://mailer.comparebroadbandpackages.co.uk/

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

For effective email management, we recommend a strategic domain setup.

Use your main domain exclusively for core business activities, such as personal and customer-facing emails, including support, billing, and partnerships.

  • Meanwhile, designate a separate subdomain specifically for bulk or automated marketing emails. To ensure optimal deliverability and security, make sure to properly configure SPF, DKIM, and DMARC settings for your chosen domain setup.
