Hello!

Is there a way that we could create a custom Sub-category property, with specific categories under each default Indsutry on HubSpot?

Hi @MariaDP,

Yes, with a separate/additional property for sub-industries – and by leveraging these conditional options, available in Professional and Enterprise portals: [Limit available options based on a controlling property](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/properties/set-up-conditional-options-for-properties)

Within the same property, or in a free / Starter portal, unfortunately no.

Best regards

Hi Karsten,

I forgot to attach an example, we are opting for something like the below:

| **HubSpot Default Industry** | **Custom Sub-category** |
| --- | --- |
| Fishery | Aquaculture / Fish Farming Technology |
| Fishery | Aquaculture / Krill |
| Fishery | Aquaculture / Salmon |
| Fishery | Fisheries Association |
| Fishery | Seafood |
| Fishery | Seafood Association |

Basically drop-down options for a specific industry.

@MariaDP that would be solved through conditional options, have you reviewed this link I shared? [Limit available options based on a controlling property](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/properties/set-up-conditional-options-for-properties)
