Struggling with File Attachments in Emails and Sequences

Hi everyone,

We’re facing a challenge with our file management and could use some advice. Our team has been using the Files tab to upload all our collateral. This has been our go-to solution for maintaining version history and ensuring the entire team has access.

However, our sales team has hit a snag. They can’t attach files from the Files tab to emails or sequences, which is causing some frustration.

I’ve only seen one post regarding this and there doesn’t seem to be a definitive solution posted yet.

Has anyone else experienced this? If so, has there been any resolution or workaround that you found effective?

Also, is there a way to bulk move or duplicate files from the Files tab to the Documents tab to make them more accessible for email attachments?

Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hey @SFinnerty2, happy Friday!

If you have a developer on your team, you could leverage HubSpot’s API to automate the transfer of files. This requires some technical setup but can save time in the long run. More information here: HubSpot Files API

To our top experts @Gilempert and @matthew-aire any recommendations for @SFinnerty2?

Thank you,

Pam

Hi @SFinnerty2 !

If you are trying to avoid a migration. a workaround is to use the file’s URL to share the information, allowing you to add them to emails and sequences without attaching the file directly and avoiding migrating all the files. And maybe the new versions can be directly uploaded into documents if this option is the best for the team?

Hope that helps :slightly_smiling_face:

Kind regards,
