Hi there,

I’m wanting to be able to stop a Quote having its “Recall & Edit” button available programatically.

I can see hs\_locked and hs\_read\_only properties for Quotes, but trying to change them in the Quote API ([Accounts Dashboard | HubSpot](https://developers.hubspot.com/docs/api/crm/quotes)) via update (PATCH) it says they’re read-only fields.

For context we aren’t using the eSignature or Payment options in a Quote, but have a custom form that calls our servers and we process manually from there. At that point of them submitting the form embedded in the Quote, I want to lock it down. The end user has approved the quote, we shouldn’t let the Sales Team edit it after this, it should be locked/frozen in place.

Please advise if this is possible at all.

Many thanks,

Simon

Hi, @SOllerenshaw To confirm, I can confirm this isn’t a feature. If you have a moment, adding your suggestion to the [Ideas Community](https://community.hubspot.com/t5/HubSpot-Ideas/idb-p/HubSpot_Ideas) and getting some upvotes will be very helpful in getting your suggestion in front of the Product team. If you add a link back to your Idea post, I’ll be sure to give it an upvote to help get the ball rolling.

Hey, @nikodev @himanshurauthan, in your experience have you dealt with this? Am I missing anything? I’d love to be proven wrong here 😉

Best,

Jaycee

Hi [@Jaycee\_Lewis](https://community.hubspot.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/127074) thanks for the quick response!

Shame there isn’t a viable solution found yet, would be great to see this option available to us.

I’ve posted the Idea as suggested here: [https://community.hubspot.com/t5/HubSpot-Ideas/Allow-Quotes-to-be-locked-manually/idi-p/690139](https://community.hubspot.com/t5/HubSpot-Ideas/Allow-Quotes-to-be-locked-manually/idi-p/690139)

Cheers 😃
