I started using Hubspot today, and wanted to input sales status on “deals” board.
Although the language is set to Japanese on Hubspot settings, deal stages are displayed in English as below. Is there anyway to fix it?
The weird thing is that stages are displayed in Japanese on the “edit stages” view as below.
I will appreciate your advice.
Hey! In this case, your HubSpot portal may default to the English terms for Deal Stage regardless of the user’s own language choices.
If you go into your Settings → Sales → Deals you should see the following, where you can amend the Deal Stages into the appropriate language that you’re using.

Hope this helps!

As you can see, on Settings → Sales → Deals, I see already Japanese terms. They were there this way by default.
I was going to put this image in the original post as the second image, but I found that I uploaded two identical images by mistake.
That certainly is strange- Thanks for clarifying that with the second image.
I replicated this in my own Portal: I changed the account language and my user language to Japanese, and saw the same. I did manage to get the Deal Stages to change by doing the following:
- Open the Deal Stage edit page as before.
- Cut (Ctrl+x) or copy and then delete the stage (in Japanese).
- Then, paste (Ctrl+v) the same value back in, and save.
- Nothing will have changed in Settings → Deals, but on the Deal view (see my second image) the Deal stage will show in the appropriate language.
- Do this for all Deal Stages.
Let me know if this is a solution for you! If not, it may be appropriate to contact Support to see if this is working as intended.
Cheers,
Allan
I followed your advice, and it worked out fine!
Thank you so much for your help.
