I know there is not an out-of-the-box solution for this but wanted to see if any other users have faced a similar issue and have any workarounds.
We have a demo request form that is hooked up to our sales reps calendars. Recently, we have had spam/fake emails booking time with them. I am trying to figure out a way to either block folks who are not using a ‘work’ email address from booking time or another way to filter these fake leads out. Does anyone have any suggestions?
This is a significant issue. Some spammer (Test@work.com)) is making numerous calendar meeting request through one of my pre-sales colleagues HubSpot calendar booking function on our website.
And there is no way to block this SPAMMER on the FORM!
This FORM is seperate from the HubSpot FORMs under Marketing\Lead Capture\Forms.
Is this calendar booking FORM part of Outlook?
As of July 2024, this is still a major issue. Despite using the CAPTCHA setting and blocking free email domains, the spammers simply switch to using a company domain or even info for one of our team members. This not only creates fake contacts in our CRM, but it’s messing up reporting due to associated workflows. It’s also blocking valuable demo slots on calendars. Every day, we’re getting 5+ of these fake submissions and needing to manually delete them and clear them out of our CRM and calendars. Is Hubspot’s product team prioritizing a fix for this?
Hello RavenCobb, Our organization was having similar SPAM issues with our calendaring service as well. The workaround we found - that seems to be working well after a few weeks of testing -- is to trigger a Zap (www.zapier.com) to review the calendar invitee properties as likelyhood of the email address being SPAM (via IPQualityScore) and then auto-cancel the calendar invite if deemed to be so. If full transparency, we are not using Hubspot’s built-in calendar scheduling service, but assuming the Hubspot API allows you to cancel a meeting programmatically, don’t see why the same process shouldn’t work in native Hubspot.
I am having this issue with an unknown person/gmail account that keeps booking a time on my calendar then cancelling or rescheduling it on the day of the meeting. I suspect they are using the calendar invite to host calls of their own somehow? Why else would they be doing this? Looking or experience shares.
(If you’re not seeing it yet, you’ll have to be patient for a bit longer or reach out to your customer success manager to request enrollment.)

Block (Free) Email Domains from Scheduling Meetings
November 20, 2024
What is it?
For each of your scheduling pages, you can now choose to add a rule to block visitors with free email domains or any specific email domains from being able to book time on your calendar.
Why does it matter?
Protecting your time is important. Users have shared that they are struggling to make sure that their calendars are filling up with meetings that they find valuable. To combat unwanted meetings, HubSpot is introducing the ability to block free email domains or a specified list of domains from being able to book time on your calendar.
How does it work?
On each scheduling page you want to prevent bookings from certain domains:
Go to Library > Meetings Scheduler.
Create a new scheduling page or edit the desired one.
Within the scheduling page configuration, go to the Forms tab.
Look for the Block free email domains section.
Turn on the toggle to block all free email domains that appear on this list.
If a visitor arrives on your scheduling page and gives a free email domain (e.g. google.com, aol.com, yahoo.com), they will receive an error message letting them know that the form doesn’t allow submissions from that email domain.
You also have the option of adding specific email domains to block. You can do this in addition to blocking free domains or instead of blocking free domains. For example, you could choose to only block submissions from hubspot.com email addresses. Just type the desired domains to block into the text field and click Add to confirm each one.
Click Save to confirm any changes to the scheduling page after configuring blocked domains.
Who gets it?
This feature is available on Sales Hub Starter, Professional, and Enterprise or Service Hub Starter, Professional, or Enterprise.
