Hi @HSingh28,
What makes you think that this is spam?
This doesn’t look like spam to me but like an image uploaded to the HubSpot file manager, used on that page: Upload files to use in your HubSpot content
Best regards
1). The website which has linked to this image has 100 Toxic score
2). Why link an Image
3). I am seeing 1000 of them each month
4). Seems to be some automated link creation activity
5). Hackers/spammers has the capability to exploit vulnerabilities
This is why I raised to see if someone has a solution or facing this issue
Hi @HSingh28, I’ve seen these image backlinks in a few SEMRush accounts and have had a hard time getting them cleaned up.
There’s one option that I’ve tried and I’m not sure it will fully resolve for existing spam backlinks, it will help for future.
You can set your image files in Marketing > Files and Templates > Files to “Public - no index” instead of “Public” which would make the URLs harder to find in the first place.
For existing files, you can break the link for the backlink by cleaning up the file name / renaming it and setting it to Public - noindex
For example Flutter20%Dart.png could be renamed flutter-dart.png to break the link for the backlink.
In HubSpot a redirect will be created that allows your content to remain linked properly.
