Hi everyone,

It happens quite often that comments are marked as solutions that are not solutions at all. In addition, statements or observations such as “That doesn’t work”, for example, are not a solution to a problem in the true sense of the word for me personally.

That’s why I wanted to suggest that perhaps only the creator of the respective thread can decide whether his question has been answered with a solution.

Thank you for reading and best regards
Dennis

I’ve found the opposite - that it’s usually the creator of the thread that accepts their own reply as the solution, sometimes it’s just “thanks that worked” whereas the community managers/moderators do a great job of identifying the answer and accepting the solution. There is no one else to my knowledge that can accept a solution (post creator + moderators only).

Then we need to be able to flag when a solution is marked as accepted and it is not correct. I see that all the time on here. So much that my general instinct now is to ignore the accepted solution because it’s usually not very helpful.
