I think it’d be really great to implement an easier social media planning tool, as the current social media scheduling HubSpot calendar doesn’t really allow for ideas or proposals - it more focuses on the final draft/scheduling stage. I’m just finding that I have to plan all of my company’s social media externally in Google Calendar, and then create it again in HubSpot once the idea is approved. Whereas it would be great to be able to add an idea into a HubSpot calendar that can slowly become the finished product, and also sit alongside all of our previously published posts.
Yes. please! My team does their planning in Monday.com, then moves it over to HubSpot once approved. Would be so much more efficient to plan, draft, and publish in one place. We had this capability in a previous social media posting platform, but lost it when moving to HubSpot. Each post had a title field which was what was pulled into the calendar. The title allowed us to set placeholders, e.g. “Christmas” or “webinar reminder” on the calendar and pre-plan a month or more before for certain events. Then we would go in and draft the posts two-four weeks out and set the publish date. Also, if a post was drafted and pre-scheduled for both LinkedIn and Facebook and you needed to go back in edit it, you could edit both together in the editor just like when they are originally drafted instead of having to go into each individually.
Would be good if you could set up tasks to support a calendar then I’m not relying on Asana/Monday for social media scheduling and task management and it’s all in one place.
Love this idea! Desparately needed. The ability to add notes to the calendar for content planning purposes would really help to keep marketing management and content creators, social managers, etc… on the same page. Allow the social calendar (and marketing calendar) to be a complete planning and organizational tool… not just a visual tool for what’s been scheduled in Hubspot.
We run various types of marketing initiatives with industry media partners which are not created or published through Hubspot but we’d still like those things to be included in our marketing calendar.
