Snapshot of customized company property

I am currently working on a report that will show the historical development of A/B and C customers over the years (similar to snapshots of deals). At the moment I have no way of analyzing the past data fields and displaying them in a report. I would not like to add new data fields for each year.

Does anyone have a creative idea how to solve this issue?

Hi @Philipp4,

Natively, with the custom report builder, this is unfortunately not possible. As of now, you would have to export the property history and report on this outside of HubSpot: Export property history

For Marketing Hub Enterprise customers, there is a private beta for property changes but this has to be set up before the fact, it doesn’t work retroactively:

Track Property Changes with Property Change Events

August 8, 2024

What is it?

Property Change Events allow you to:

  • Report on the history of property changes in places like the Custom Report Builder
  • Use property history in Customer Journey Analytics
  • Use property history in segmentation
  • Use metadata about property changes in automation, such as when the change occurred, who made the change, the previous value, or current value

Why does it matter?

With this update, you can easily track when object property values change and use those events in reporting, lists, and automation.

How does it work?

Here are the instructions if you want to test it out.

Some things to know: Currently, only 25 properties can be tracked with this beta. There is a limit of 30M event completions, which are single instances of a change being captured, a month. This limit also includes any other event types you are using, such as API events and Custom JavaScript events.

Who gets it?

Enterprise Customer Platform, Marketing Enterprise

Best regards!

That definitely sounds interesting and I would like to test it. Unfortunately, I haven’t found what I’m looking for. What is the name of this beta? @karstenkoehler

@Philipp4 it’s called ‘Track Property Changes with Property Change Events’, but it’s still a private beta. You could reach out to your customer success manager and ask to be enrolled in it.

This solution worked amazingly! Unbeleivable for me.
