Slash "/" symbol causing Breeze AI pop-up is frustrating in email drafting

When drafting a sales email directly in Hubspot, the slash “/” symbol causes the Breeze AI assistant to pop-up and it is distracting and unwanted in most cases, creating a very annoying user experience.

  • / is a very common character in business writing (dates like 09/30, ratios, abbreviations), not a rare “power‑user” key.
  • Reps who draft long free‑form emails can easily trigger the assistant more often than they actually intend to use it.
  • A more deliberate gesture (for example, a keyboard chord or explicit button) or a per‑user toggle would reduce friction.
  • There is no setting today to change the shortcut key away from / in the email composer.
  • There is also no setting to keep Breeze available but disable the inline / pop‑up specifically.
  • The only administrative control is whether users have access to Breeze Assistant at all, via AI settings
