Skilling Up in an AI World

What skills do you think people with a marketing background should be working on developing in this time where AI is ramping up? I realize “marketing” is a massive umbrella term. But I’m not really looking for hyper specific answers either. More general thoughts. The next 3-5 years are going to drastically shift what the job market looks like. As someone who works for myself right now, but would like to reposition myself to re-enter the job market in the next few years -- I’ve been pondering where I should be focusing my time when it comes to leveling up skills. I recommend working on creative frameworks, developing your own toolsets to demonstrate value to your clients and/or enterprise, and growing your professional network. Original, executable ideas are more important than ever in a world where anything can be done by speaking with a super intelligence. Your own tools, scaled by automation, will position yourself as a solutions provider.
