Showing scheduled Sequences as Activities

Hi there, hoping someone can help. I am putting Contacts that have associated Deals in my sales pipeline into sequences. Is there any way of showing that a Deal has had it’s associated Contacts put into a sequence on the Pipeline board view? So that I don’t rehit them again with the same sequence? It seems that they aren’t tracked until the email from the sequence is sent and then it shows up as an Activity. But it doesn’t show the scheduled emails in the sequence as scheduled activities, which means i can end up contacting them twice?

Thanks so much!

Hi @JPattison8 to easily identify deals with contacts enrolled in a sequence you could create a deal tag for “in sequence” that would automatically add the tag once enrolled:

So it would look like this:

To configure, go to Settings > Objects > Deals > click on the Pipelines tab, choose the pipeline, then click Customize Deal Tags:

Thank you for this. It’s very helpful, but I am struggling to get the Deal Tag settings to work so that when the Deal enters an Associated Sequence, the tag shows. I have tried various filters and I can’t seem to get it to work. Any advice? Thank you so much.

You’re welcome @JPattison8, happy to help figure out why it’s not working as expected.

When you created the deal tag, did you add this filter:

It would be helpful if you can share how you have the deal tag filters configured so I can take a closer look at why it might not be working as expected.

Hi there, so I didn’t have that filter. I had done it slightly differently. See screen shot:

But I have now added your filter as well and it does seem to be working. Thank you!

Hi @JPattison8 sorry for the confusion, it looks like your workflow is based off of the deal, whereas mine was based off of the contact.

I’m glad you got it working!
