Some of my customers wish that their CRM Users see fields that are created as “single Checkbox” as a “Checkbox” field (to check/uncheck) in the left column on object level (and other places). I am very surprised that this is only possible in forms. Why can’t I change the visualization from “dropdown” to a “Checkbox”?
This has been a gripe for us since day 1. Why is a Checkbox property not an actual checkbox? We’ve resorted to using a green checkmark icon as the only option of a Dropdown property. Much more intuitive as a checkbox than the current Checkbox property, but still requires 1 more click than an actual checkbox would.
I agree with the discussants: why add extra actions, movements and clicks to the work if the field implies only two options, but in fact there are three options: NULL , true and false. The field is called a switch, but it is not one; it is a multi-list with three elements, just like the list display. If it is important for someone to choose, add a checkbox in the display to show it as a list or a switch.
HubSpot only operates to make customers take extra steps and extra clicks to accomplish simple tasks. This is yet another example of it.
Totally agree with this.
Hubspot put it on top of the roadmap !
Hi everyone, I’m Rachel from the product team. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this idea. We hear you and understand the need for a true single checkbox property. It’s a compelling request we will revisit in 2026 as we shape our future roadmap. In the meantime, your feedback and use cases are incredibly valuable in helping us prioritize what comes next, so please keep them coming!
+1
