Show report total in dashboard view without opening?

Hi all,

We have multiple reports on our dashboard that we would like to easily compare, but we can’t see the totals unless we click on the filter button and open it up.

Ie, if I have a report for opened tickets side by side with a report on closed tickets for the month, I’d love to be able to see the total of each on the dashboard screen, rather than having to open each one individually. Is it possible to do this?

Many thanks in advance,

Danni-Jean

Hi @DNeal32,

With the custom report builder, yes: Create reports with the custom report builder

One option is, for example, cloning your existing reports and then choosing the KPI visualization for your cloned report:

Instead of a chart, this will show just numbers.

If you’re getting stuck or have more detailed questions about the configuration of this cloned report, please share the settings or a screenshot of your original reports.

Best regards

Hi @karstenkoehler ,

Thanks for the reply. What I was hoping for was to be able to show this total in the dashboard:

Currently I have to click on the filter button to view the total number of (in this case) tickets.

I did look at the report type you suggested, and I’ll definitely find a use for that thanks.

Kind regards,

Danni-Jean

Many thanks,

Would love that as well for Vertical and Horizontal Charts!

I found the “Show Totals” checkbox in Chart Settings for only the following Chart Types:

  • Donut Chart
  • Pie Chart
  • Table Chart
  • Pivot Table
