Show Notes from Associated Contacts in Deals/Leads

Hi HubSpot Community,

I’d like to suggest an improvement to how notes are displayed within HubSpot’s CRM. Currently, it seems that notes added to associated contacts are not visible in their corresponding leads or deals. This creates a gap in visibility for teams relying on centralized deal or lead records to track updates and interactions.

Here’s the challenge:

  • When a note is created under a contact, it’s not automatically accessible in the associated deal or lead.
  • This means valuable context or updates could be missed when viewing the deal or lead, which impacts team collaboration and the ability to keep a unified history.

Suggestion:
Enable notes added to associated contacts to sync or display automatically in the related deals or leads. This would ensure that all relevant updates are easily accessible, regardless of where they were initially created.

I believe this feature would significantly enhance the CRM’s usability, especially for teams managing multiple touchpoints with clients and prospects.

Has anyone else encountered this issue, or found a workaround? Would love to hear your thoughts or ideas!

Do you know if this has been fixed? I think we can add manually if we associate the deal but it should be automatically associated to a deal without any human intervention.

Hi everyone,

I’m Winnie Hien, the Product Manager for HubSpot’s CRM.

Thank you for taking the time to share this idea. We genuinely read and consider everything submitted here.

After review, we don’t have plans to build this right now. We are thinking about how to better see associated records’ activities (without forcing manual associations), but we have higher-priority work in flight that we need to see through first. It’s on our radar for future consideration.

That said, we revisit our roadmap regularly, and customer ideas like this one do influence what we prioritize.

Thanks,
Winnie
