Wonderining if anyone else has experienced this or has any tips to correct. I recently connected a second shopify account with my HubSpot account. This second account is all in foreign currency. The products have the price set in the foreign currency as well. When everything synced to HubSpot they came over with the correct currency type in the property field for currency (with the exception of the products), but the amount is in our company currency and the amount did not change with our currency exchange rates.
Our company currency is USD and we are using EUROs and GBP
I’ve had a closer look at the Shopify integration and it seems this behavior is expected: the integration does not automatically convert currencies. Only the numerical value is pulled from Shopify and HubSpot then sets a default currency.
One possible solution is to manually convert the currency and values of the deals that are synced from Shopify.
Because this might not be an optimal solution, I wanted to tag a couple of subject matter experts to see if they know of a workaround: @Bryantworks, @darynsmith, @johnelmer do you have any tips you can share?
@BradyH, I really recommend utilizing the sync from Unific, it adds a ton of additional fields to your platform which are super useful. I’m not 100% if it will solve the currency issue you’re experiencing, but the additional fields might certainly help.
