Setting up domains for different "Business Units" or "Brands"

Hello all,

So we are working with Brands or business units, to segment our branches throughout different countries. Each brand needs their unique domain for Landing Pages, etc. Currently we have an “Account” Brand that uses our main domain, which we also wished to use for the rest of the brands and just use subdomains to differenciate between them. The issue is we can’t do this; the system wont let you select “Landing Pages” as in the following image

Can somebody give us recommendations or assist us in setting domains up for multiple brands within Hubspot?

Hi @galvanA81 ,

Could you please confirm your current HubSpot version?

If you’re using HubSpot Enterprise with the Business Units add-on, you can check and manage your brand settings here:- https://app.hubspot.com/settings/hubID/brands
Like this snap -

From there, you’ll be able to configure brand-specific URLs directly.

you can follow these steps instead:

  1. Go to Settings → Website → Domains & URLs
  2. Click “Connect a domain”
  3. For each brand, connect a unique subdomain (e.g., brand1.abc.com, brand2.xyz.com)
  4. Assign the appropriate content type (e.g., landing pages) during setup

Let me know your version details, and I’ll be happy to guide you further.

Hi @ArisudanTiwari ,

thanks for your reply.

We do have the Enterprise Version and the Business Unit Add-on and we can recreate your step. Could you elaborate a bit more on your examples given (brand1.abc.com, brand2.xyz.com).

In our case we want to use the same domain (e.g “google.com”) for every Brand, meaning different Subdomains per Brand (e.g “de.google.com”, “uk.google.com”, etc.) Is this possible or isn´t it possible to divide the Brand Domains via Subdomains of the same general domain?

Kind regards

Hi @galvanA81 ,

If you’re looking to segment your business units or brands by country, or any other criteria, using unique landing pages under subdomains of a single main domain (e.g., de.google.com, uk.google.com), HubSpot does support this structure through its domain and brand management features.

That said, there are a few important limitations and best practices to consider:

  • HubSpot allows only one primary domain per content type (such as landing pages).
  • However, you can add subdomains as secondary domains to host content for other brands or regions.
  • For further clarity, this community article provides a helpful breakdown.

To set this up:

  • Go to Settings → Account Defaults → Business Units

  • For each Business Unit, configure the associated brand domain:

    • Connect the desired subdomain (e.g., de.google.com).
    • Assign it to the appropriate content types (landing pages, website, etc.).
    • Complete domain ownership verification via DNS for each subdomain.

Give this setup a try and let me know if you run into any issues. I’d be happy to connect on LinkedIn and walk through the details if needed.
