# Setting Task reminders via API

Hello all,

we’re currently looking into creating tasks with a private app for hubspot users with the Engagement API ([Accounts Dashboard | HubSpot](https://developers.hubspot.com/docs/api/crm/tasks)).

Is there a way to control the reminder setting when creating a task? I’ve seen that it was possible in previous iterations of the API, but not anymore.

Otherwise users don’t get any notifications about newly created (and due) tasks, which would render this approach nearly useless for us.

Cheers and I hope someone knows a way.

Hello @NSpiess  
You need to Add a key hs\_task\_reminders inside the request body. It takes a 13-bit timestamp as its value.

 }

```

where, hs\_timestamp is due date of the task. And hs\_task\_reminders is reminder time of the task  
These 2 keys can control the reminder setting in tasks.
