Set up 1 free automation on form

Hi all

I am new to hubspot! I have created a standalone ebook form for my lead magnet. I would like to use the 1 free follow up email feature to deliver my ebook in the email after the client fills the form. However, whenever I try to set it up it shows me the option to create a simple workflow and pay for it. Is there a way I can set this up for free?

Thanks

P

Hey @PKilla

To set up a follow-up email for your ebook form follow these steps:

From a form’s Automation tab, you can select what happens after a form is submitted. Turn on simple automation features such as sending a follow-up email to a contact.

Under the Choose what happens after a form is submitted section, look for the Send an email after form submission option.
Click Create this workflow follow the prompts to create the follow-up email that will deliver your ebook. Make sure to include the download link for your ebook in the email content.

Activate the workflow once your follow-up email is set up, ensure the workflow is activated by toggling the switch next to the workflow name.

For additional information, you can refer to this article here: Automate form submission actions

Thanks @Gaurav_Aggarwal . I tried doing this but it is asking me to pay to set up this workflow. See screenshot below. How to get around this as I believe I can send one email for free, right? Also you can see it says I have created 1 of 1 email when I haven’t created any.

Thank you for your help.

@PKilla

Can you share the screenshot of the email also under the enrollment trigger? and yes you can send one email for free just when you create this workflow it will automatically set the action to send an email and your one email is utilized there from there you just have to select the email as seen in the screenshot below

Sure here you go:

@Gaurav_Aggarwal any ideas how I can get this to work please. Thanks

@PKilla

You have to scroll down this is the first action you are sharing I want to see the second action in the screenshot scroll down from the right side bar as you can see in the screenshot i have shared

@Gaurav_Aggarwal this is the last step in my workflow.

@PKilla

As you can see the need changes option it is asking to select an email you want to send to for ebook signup this is the one email you can send with simple automation click on this action and in the left sidebar you will get an option to select an email you want to send after someone fills out the form I am sharing a screenshot for your reference:

Thank you this worked. I assume I can attach my pdf in the email too right?

@PKilla

Thank you it definitely did. Just one last question - I am trying to attach the pdf but its not working. Also I do not want to send a URL in the marketing email I want to attach a PDF. Can you please tell me how to do this. Thanks

@PKilla

Go to marketing > Email click on the email you to Edit on the top click on the insert icon and select the file option from the dropdown option and add your pdf document you can also add link text kindly follow this article here: Attach a document to content

Also make sure you have uploaded your file “PDF” in HubSpot then only you will be able to select the file option here the article on how you can upload files in HubSpot: Upload files to use in your HubSpot content
