# Set custom dates for properties with workflows

For example when a deal enters a “signed” stage. I want to set my custom property “expected onboarding date” to 1 month from the day the deal entered that stage. Currently this is only possible with a calculated data property, but the problem with calculated properties is that they can’t be manually changed. In many cases the custom property must be manually changed as problems may occur. I want the date property to be customized like we can do in reports.
