Set Blackout days for email sends from workflows or sequences

We need this to be implemented and an option to set sending time for emails/sequences.

This NEEDS to be implemented @hubspot !

@hubspot Please, this is a crucial update. Make it happen! At least a little insight as to what the hold up is on your end would be appreciated. Your paying customers are told to put ideas in this forum…but what’s the point if the same idea has been getting rejected and ignored since at least 2018.

Remembrance Day (Canada) is in a couple days…and I have sequences scheduled to execute on this day. Please @hubspot , can you at least provide an update. @LucasM @

I agree! This would be clutch, esp heading into the Holiday season here in the US. Any progress/update would be awesome.

Definitely agree here, with relying primarily on sequences, being able to set blackout dates would be huge! Would love to see this implemented soon.

@hubspot Hello, is this thing on? <crickets>

Two years and counting… HubSpot still has no intention of doing this. LITERALLY EVERY OTHER CRM TOOL HAS THIS FEATURE!

It’s such a waste for emails to go out over Thanksgiving week or Christmas vacation, espeically since our target market is schools.

It seems like the founders of HubSpot said to themselves, “Let’s create a ‘pretty’ alternative to Salesforce.com with a mouse-centric interface but we won’t bother actually finishing any of the features… we just want feature parity on paper.” Almost everything I try to do on HubSpot I run into these completely illogical, unexplainable limitations, restrictions or omissions.

We just transitioned to HubSpot and I’m shocked that this isn’t a feature already. It’s just common sense and an absolute must.

@hubspot how we doing on this for Sequences? Several holidays approaching and I don’t want to be that guy sending emails on Christmas. Come on now, y’all.

we need this also urgently, please review! :slightly_smiling_face:

The workaround to this **bleep**. You need to pause all your sequences and them restart them after the holiday. Problem is that I don’t fully trust that when I restart them they continue to follow their original schedule. Usually on restart days HubSpot will push out so many emails that I exceed limits and some of the emails bounce.

@hubspot , at least give us an update. Can’t happen, not a priority, on your list of fixes…something!

Yes please.

Tagging @jmclaren for his feedback on this topic because he’s great at responding. Thanks in advance

Hi, any news about this matter?

Hello - I’ve only just run into this issue - I can’t believe you can’t blackout dyes you dont want sequences to send emails. We had a lot of them go out on a Friday afternoon, i dont want that and it’s oging to be really embarrading when this happens on a public holiday. Please can this be addressed? Pausing/unpausing sequences is a silly solution

Still waiting!!!

+1 it’s thanksgiving and a bunch of emails are going out, not a great look

So frustraing to see that this concept is not implemented in Hubspot, and the company has been so unresponsive to this long-opened thread. It’s a terrible look to have 1-1 emails going out on major public holidays.

When you have potentially hundreds of people enrolled in dozens of different sequences at any give time, and the only workaround is to manually pause each of those enrollments, you introduce a high risk of human error and inefficiency.

At bare minimum there should be a standard calendar of public holidays that applies based on the country of the sending organization.

A much more useful option would be to let companies configure their own custom definition of “business days” that applies globally.

An ideal option would be a combination of both. Let a company customize their blackout days, but also have standard public calendars that apply based on the contry of the RECIPIENT (e.g. sensitive to work schedules that vary internationally).

Yet, Hubspot has none of this?
