Hello,

I want to create a sequence that sends an email with a meeting scheduling link to a contact. If the contact doesn’t reply or schedule a meeting within 7 days, I want a task to be created for another HubSpot User to follow up with the contact.

I don’t see the option in sequences to do this. Is this possible using a workflow?

Thank you!

Jenny

Hello @Jenny26 thank you for posting in our Community.

Currently, the [sequences only](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/sequences/create-and-edit-sequences) have tasks. I would recommend [creating a workflow](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/workflows/create-workflows) that would create tasks and add the user as an owner or enroll contacts from the user profile.

To our top experts @danmoyle @jolle @TomM2 any workaround to recommend @Jenny26?

Thank you,

Pam

Thanks @PamCotton yep you’re right though, I don’t see any other way to do this outside of workflows!

@Jenny26 unfortunatley you’re correct, that’s not “expected behavior” in the Sequences tool as it stands. The HubSpot user enrolling the contact into the Sequence is the recipient of tasks (and the sender of emails). A workflow could work. I’d also recommend sharing this limitation in the [Ideas forum here](https://community.hubspot.com/t5/HubSpot-Ideas/idb-p/HubSpot_Ideas). It may be something others are looking for, and the product managers may be able to add the functionality to the tool.
